Key to My Heart: Psalm 73:25-26 – “Whom have I in Heaven but You?  And besides You, I desire nothing on earth.  My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.”

God created us for Him—to worship Him and to bring Him glory.  This is who we are.  He alone is our “portion forever”.  He did not create us to go to school, to work, to find a mate, or to have children.  Although these things are part of who we are, they do not complete us.  He made us so that we may fall in love with Him.  I want you to see that we were made for something bigger than what this world has to offer.  We have a purpose.  God is more concerned about our holiness and about our relationship with Him than with our happiness and comfort.  Don’t get me wrong, happiness is great, but not if it puts God second.  Take some time to think about that.  Write down what it is you want God to know you as—a girlfriend, a student, a wife, a mother, or do you want to be known to Him first as a daughter of the King—a servant to Him?

Isaiah 54:5 – “For your husband is your Maker, whose name is the Lord of Hosts; and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, who is called the God of all the earth.”

God loves you, He cares for you, and He dearly wants you to understand how much He desires a relationship with you.  He wants it so much that He sent His son to die for you even though you are a sinner.
