Body Pslam Your Fears: Psalm 27:1-3 - So what do we do when we are afraid? Do we even admit that we become afraid from time to time? What do you fear most?
Here’s a big question . . .who or what do you turn to when you are afraid? Who or what becomes your salvation when you are terrified? If we turn to God, the One True God, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, our God Most High, the Mighty One; if we seek Him in our time of fear, He will rescue us. Just read down this list of passages from the Bible in the book of Psalm:
Psalm 23:4 (NLT) “Even when I walk through the darkest valley, I will not be afraid, for you are close beside me. Your rod and your staff protect and comfort me, God, my shepherd!”
Psalm 34:4 “I sought the LORD, and He answered me; He delivered me from all my fears.”
Psalm 27:1-3 “The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid? When evil men advance against me to devour my flesh, when my enemies and my foes attack me, they will stumble and fall. Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then will I be confident.”
Psalm 46:1-2 “God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea”
Psalm 18:1-3 “I love you, O LORD, my strength. The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. I call to the LORD, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.”
