Micah 7:18-20
18 Who is a God like you,
who pardons sin and forgives the transgression
of the remnant of his inheritance?
You do not stay angry forever
but delight to show mercy.
19 You will again have compassion on us;
you will tread our sins underfoot
and hurl all our iniquities into the depths of the sea.
20 You will be true to Jacob,
and show mercy to Abraham,
as you pledged on oath to our fathers
in days long ago.

1 John 1:5-10
5This is the message we have heard from him and declare to you: God is light; in him there is no darkness at all. 6If we claim to have fellowship with him yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth. 7But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus, his Son, purifies us from all sin.
8If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. 9If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 10If we claim we have not sinned, we make him out to be a liar and his word has no place in our lives.

So, Can You Forgive?
There are precious few things more mind-blowing than God’s forgiveness. Did you know that God forgives you over and over? Do you ever wonder why He doesn’t get tired of forgiving just you? Well, add up all of the times He has forgiven you, then multiply that times the billions of other people who have lived on this earth at one point or another – that’s a lot of forgiveness.

In addition to His forgiveness, God instructs His followers to forgive others and keep on forgiving them. This get’s pretty difficult at times. But you can’t expect God to forgive you if you aren’t willing to forgive others. Jesus said, “For if you forgive men when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive men their sins, your Father will not forgive your sins.” -Matthew 6:14-15
