OUR MISSION is to shine brightly for the Lord, to support Christians who are reaching others for Christ, and to encourage other believers to do the same.
OUR OBJECTIVES are to Share the Gospel, to Encourage Discipleship and Spiritual Growth, to raise Awareness, Excitement, and Financial Support for Missions, and to Clothe Children in destitute situations (for every shirt sold, we donate a brand new shirt to a child in need).
OUR COMMITMENT is to use 75% of our profit to donate to missions organizations, to short-term and long-term missionaries, to mission trip scholarships, and to purchase Bibles, water filters, and new clothes to be used in such countries as Honduras, Mexico, Haiti, and Nicaragua. The remaining 25% of our profit is used for taxes, shipping costs, and design/printing costs. My wife Melissa and I do not take a pay check from Hill Thread. We are both fully employed with other jobs; Hill Thread was established only for impacting people for God.
OUR GOALS SPECIFIC TO SELLING T-SHIRTS are to supply the customer with great designs that have a penetrating message of love, forgiveness, and salvation through Christ. Every t-shirt has a devotional which studies the scripture that the design is based on. We believe the devo has a two-fold effect; 1) to help encourage people to read God’s word and develop a personal Bible study time with Him, and 2) to inform them about the scripture behind the shirt so they are more able and willing to share God’s word with others.

A Closer Look at the Donation Process
- The first thing we do after we sell one of our shirts (we think of it as our company tithe) is to designate money for the purchase of a non-printed, brand new t-shirt. This t-shirt will be donated to a child in need, whether it be in an orphanage, a children’s home, or to a poverty stricken family. To maximize our dollar, we will purchase and donate t-shirts in quantities of 72 to receive bulk pricing.
- The next action we take is the donation of funds, which will be done in a few different ways. 1.) set up mission trip scholarships available to people who feel God calling them to go on mission trips and who need help raising money; 2.) donate funds directly to missionaries in the US and around the world to help with unexpected needs that arise; 3.) donate to mission organizations who have a presence in an area and who have the capabilities already established to help others in the name of Christ.
- A third action is meeting needs with the money that we raise through the purchase of goods. This can take form by helping to purchase Bibles for people who do not have access to God’s Word, long johns in winter for the homeless, food for the hungry, maternity items for expectant mothers in need, etc.
Hill Thread exists to exalt Jesus, to spread the truth of the Gospel, to encourage discipleship and spiritual growth, and to raise excitement, awareness, and financial support for missions. The shirt sales provide the financial support, but what about everything else???
- We spread the Truth of the Gospel by posting our online Bible study on our blog and on Facebook as well as using God’s Word as the foundation for every shirt design.
- We encourage discipleship and spiritual growth by providing devos for every shirt that we design. That’s right, even the shirts that aren’t printed yet have a devo that you can use to study God’s Word! No purchase necessary, partner! We also have a study giude to help you out. We encourage discipleship and spiritual growth by providing you with material and tools for your personal Bible study. And we encourage you to use it, so go dig into God’s Word!
- We raise excitement and awareness for missions by having this presence on the web, by offering you mission resources and by giving you access to our pics and videos from our trips.
